Compatibility

Fronius lists the Primo GEN24 Plus, Symo GEN24 Plus (SC) 6–12 kW, and Verto Plus as compatible inverters. Compatible meters include the Fronius Smart Meter IP, Smart Meter 50kA-3, 63A-1, 63A-3, and the Smart Meter TS variants 5kA-3, 65A-3, and 100A-1. According to Fronius, US versions of the Primo GEN24 XX 208–240 (Plus) (SC) series are not compatible. Connection, protection concept, parameterization, and commissioning must only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The backup switch manually toggles between mains operation, the 0 position, and emergency power operation. In the 0 position, the power supply is disconnected from both the public grid and the emergency power supply; this position can be secured with a standard padlock, in accordance with national regulations. The switch does not automate the mains switchover. Fronius explicitly excludes the use of this switch for emergency power supply to life-support medical equipment.
